Game of thrones world map
In its standard play format, a silhouette of a country is shown and players have six guesses to name the correct nation. Along the way, green squares are given based on how close the guesses are geographically to the right country. https://palmbeachsunsfc.com/ With each wrong guess, two clues appear: how many miles (or kilometers, which can be adjusted in a settings toggle) it is away from the correct answer and an arrow pointing in the direction of the right country.
Wordle was created by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn software engineer. He originally made it for his partner, but released it to the public in October. On Nov. 1, only 90 people had played it. Within two months, that number had grown to 300,000 as the addictive phenomenon spread rapidly on social media.
Worldle is a game inspired by the popular Wordle game, only it tests your knowledge of geography. The rules of the game are similar to Wordle, but there are some differences: You have an unlimited number of guesses and you only have the distance / direction of the mystery country in the clues. This game is great for kids as an assistant in school or college, as well as for adults to remember the maps of countries around the world.
The appeal is its ease of play. Start by typing in a five-letter word. If a square turns green, it’s the right letter in the right place. If it turns yellow, the letter is in the word but in the incorrect spot. Gray squares mean the letters are not in that day’s word.
World series game 6
• No player has appeared in more Game 7s than Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle. The Yanks great played in eight winner-take-all World Series finales throughout his 18-year career — one more than fellow Yankees Yogi Berra and Elston Howard — and New York won four of them. Mantle hit a combined .300, slugged .533 and tallied two home runs and seven RBIs in those eight pressure-cooker games.
New York’s Ron Darling was equally effective, yielding only one unearned run in the seventh inning when second baseman Tim Teufel committed an error by letting a ground ball from Rich Gedman go through his legs, allowing Jim Rice to score from second. Red Sox closer Calvin Schiraldi, acquired from the Mets in the previous offseason, walked Darryl Strawberry to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning. However, Schiraldi got Knight to force out Strawberry at second base and then got Wally Backman to fly out to left field. With two outs, Danny Heep pinch hit for Rafael Santana. Schiraldi worked Heep to a 2–2 count and then struck him out swinging to solidify the victory.
After 43 years, the original Subway Series squads are back on the field in the championship series, going head-to-head as the Yankees vie for their title since 2009 and the Dodgers play for their first since 2020.
The Series, and especially Game 6, were referenced in the Seinfeld episode “The Boyfriend”, which also guest starred former Mets player Keith Hernandez. Hernandez being referred to Game 6 in the episode suggested that he was part of the winning rally, even though he was the 2nd (and final) out of the inning, though Hernandez was a big part of the prior round’s Game 6 rally in the 9th inning.
The Red Sox were not done, however. Facing Sid Fernandez, pitching in relief with runners on first and second base in the ninth inning, Boggs drove in Henderson with a double to make the score 9–3. The Mets were unable to recover from this deficit, and took the loss, giving Boston a 2–0 advantage heading to Fenway Park.
Another world game
An Atari Jaguar port of Another World was originally in development and planned to be published by Interplay in September 1994 but it was never released. In 2012, the Jaguar port of the game was confirmed and approved by Chahi. It was released as a limited collector’s item in cartridge form, complete with a box and manual published by the association Retro-Gaming Connexion (RGC) in 2013. The game engine was rewritten especially for the Atari Jaguar to make use of the console’s several processors: the GPU and blitter perform polygon rendering; the GPU performs on-the-fly data decompression; the DSP plays stereo music and sound effects; and the 68000 CPU performs JIT compilation and execution of the scripts. The Jaguar version is playable in the original graphics 16-color mode and Deluxe 15th Anniversary graphics 256-color mode. It can be played in normal and speed-run modes. It supports five languages: English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
All of the console versions include some form of dynamic musical score during gameplay, and in the case of the Mega Drive conversion, use arrangements of the music originating in the SNES and Apple IIGS versions. This differs from other versions which only have music for the opening and ending segments. Interplay wanted to add additional tunes by Charles Deenen. They also wanted to exchange Jean-François Freitas’s music for a different soundtrack, but Chahi did not agree to the change and Delphine’s lawyer helped to keep the original intro music. The Apple IIGS and Super NES versions were programmed by Rebecca Heineman, who said: “Since Interplay wouldn’t pay for a Super FX chip, I found a way to do it with static RAM on the cart and DMA which got me a great frame rate. Interplay wouldn’t pay for the static RAM either, so I ended up using Fast ROM instruction. Interplay wouldn’t pay for a 3.6 MHz ROM either. So, frustrated, I shoved my block move code into the DMA registers and use it as RAM running at 3.6 MHz. It worked. I got fast block moves on slow cartridges and made a game using polygons working on a 65816 with pure software rendering.” Another World is the only game directly ported from the Super NES to the Apple IIGS, which has the same 65C816 microprocessor.

Another World is a platform game, featuring a control scheme where the player uses either the keyboard, joystick or gamepad to make the protagonist run, jump, attack and perform other, situation-specific actions, such as rocking a cage back and forth. In the initial part of the game, the player’s character Lester is unarmed. He is able to kick at small creatures, but is otherwise defenseless.

Small world board game
Battle couldn’t be more user-friendly when counting as high as six or seven is the basic skill involved. Drop enough tokens and the other team takes their equipment and goes home. I really appreciate that not every defeated token is driven from the board (though one is), but that there is room for theoretical retreat to safety at the turn’s end. Battles are instantaneous, and the only intrusion of dice and randomness waits until the end. The simplicity allows the ever-changing board state to be the star of the experience. There’s no room for sentimentality with such flux.
Designed by Philippe Keyaerts as a fantasy follow-up to his award-winning Vinci™, Small World is inhabited by a zany cast of characters such as dwarves, wizards, amazons, giants, orcs and even humans; who use their troops to occupy territory and conquer adjacent lands in order to push the other races off the face of the earth.
Chess isn’t the only board game that has been popular for thousands of years. The second top-selling board game is also the oldest board game; checkers was first introduced in 3,000 B.C.E., and an estimated 50 billion game sets have been sold since then. Backgammon is another one of the oldest board games still in play today, having also been introduced around 3,000 B.C.E. More than 88 million of the modern version of backgammon have been sold.
Small World takes place on a map that, fittingly, isn’t large enough for all the races vying for geographic supremacy. This area control battle pits archetypal fantasy races against one another. Each race has its own characteristic strength and is bolstered by a special power that aids in the bid for dominance. These pairings are revealed in a running queue during play—just one area of cardboard maintenance.
